Snap. Crackle. Pop!

October 5, 2010

If you haven’t “popped” by Royal/T gallery in Culver City for lunch or just a visual feast, get moving! Modeled after the meido kissa (maid cafés) of Tokyo, entering the space is like plummeting down the rabbit hole of Japanese contemporary art. The current exhibition is a tribute to Warhol and the pop phenom, replete with a marvelous mod Lisa Perry “pop” up shop (I’m pining after this Edie Sedgwick swing dress). With delish gourmet fare and an open, eclectic atmosphere, I will be taking my CAYSF meetings here from now on, thank you very much.
