Project PEP

November 24, 2009

I’ve never been a Choo girl, but who wouldn’t rise to the occasion to help battle HIV and empower women? And what idiot would say no to 7 free pairs of shoes and 2 handbags no matter who designed them? (Hello, Ebay?)

Let me clarify. Jimmy Choo has teamed up with the Elton John AIDS Foundation again (remember Tamara‘s Four Inches campaign?) to fund the Simelela centre in Cape Town, which administers victims of abuse with the HIV preventative PEP medication. The catch of this drug is that it must be administered within 72 hours so the centre must be open 24/7 to ensure this window doesn’t close on anyone.

Here’s where we come in: 25% of sales of this collection will go toward Simelela and in order to social network the you-know-what out of the program, JC has set up a photo contest themed “You, Your Shoes and 72.” Above are some of your competition should you choose to enter.
